About Us
Established in 1965, the Lockwood Group is a family-run business employing over 400 people across eight UK sites. Our operations span UK transport, warehousing, food production and co-packing solutions.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Key Account Manager to take ownership of a major and rapidly growing customer account.
The Role
This is a hands-on operational and customer-facing role, responsible for both the day-to-day running and ongoing performance of a significant transport account.
The account covers a range of logistics activities with differing operational requirements. The successful candidate will be directly involved in daily load building, order management, planning and customer communication, working closely with our Transport Planning team to ensure requirements are executed effectively.
Alongside the daily operation, you will own the customer relationship and closely monitor service performance against agreed KPIs, identifying issues, investigating failures and driving continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
