Key Account Manager
Location: Surrey (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Commission
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to join our growing branded merchandise business. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced account management professional who thrives on building long-term client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering creative merchandise and promotional solutions that help brands stand out.
Working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, you will be responsible for developing key customer relationships, growing account revenue, generating new opportunities within existing clients, and ensuring exceptional service delivery from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts, building strong, long-term relationships.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through cross-selling, upselling, and new product solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Arrange and lead virtual and face-to-face client meetings.
- Understand client objectives and recommend innovative branded merchandise, promotional merchandise, POSM, print, and marketing solutions.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and client pitches.
- Work closely with internal creative, sourcing, production, and operations teams to deliver projects successfully.
- Manage account plans, sales forecasts, and pipeline activity.
- Achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and account growth targets.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and provide regular account and pipeline updates.

About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Account Manager or Key Account Manager with a proven ability to develop client relationships and deliver commercial growth.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within Account Management, Key Account Management, or Business Development.
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience presenting solutions and proposals to clients.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Confident working with clients at all levels.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Desirable
- Experience within promotional merchandise, branded merchandise, POSM, print, marketing services, packaging, or related sectors.
- Experience working with retail, FMCG, hospitality, or corporate clients.
- Understanding of sourcing, product development, and promotional campaigns.
