Key Account Manager | National | Major Infrastructure Projects
We're supporting a leading UK construction and plant hire business in the search for an experienced Key Account Manager to take ownership of one of its most important strategic partnerships.
This is a high-impact role focused on developing and expanding an established relationship with a major Tier 1 contractor. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities across existing and future projects, strengthening stakeholder relationships at every level, and driving significant commercial growth across the account.

What you'll be doing
Strategic Account Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for a major Tier 1 contractor
- Build and maintain relationships with procurement, commercial, project and site teams
- Attend client meetings, site visits, framework reviews and performance meetings
- Understand the client's operational, commercial, safety and sustainability priorities
- Develop and execute account growth plans to increase market share and revenue

Commercial Growth
- Identify and convert opportunities across existing and upcoming projects
- Drive increased plant utilisation and service penetration across the account
- Support framework agreements, tenders and commercial negotiations
- Balance revenue growth with margin protection
Operational Delivery
- Work closely with depots, transport, service and operations teams
- Ensure exceptional service standards across all projects
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
- Support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects nationwide
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor revenue, margin, utilisation and service KPIs
- Produce account reviews, forecasts and pipeline reports
- Manage commercial queries, disputes and off-hire matters
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and added value

What you'll bring
- Experience managing strategic accounts within plant hire, construction, infrastructure, civils or related sectors
- Strong relationships within Tier 1 contractor environments
- Proven ability to grow existing accounts and identify new opportunities
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of operational delivery and customer service within a project environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused and relationship-led approach
