Key Account Manager – Specialist Pharmaceuticals

Territory: Scotland & Northern Ireland

Location: Scotland – Field-based

Competitive Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits

Are you an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional looking to take ownership of a high-potential territory within a growing international pharmaceutical business?

We are partnering with an established and growing pharmaceutical company looking for a Key Account Manager to take responsibility for its specialist portfolio across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, taking ownership of key NHS accounts and developing long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and other important stakeholders across the territory.

The Role:

As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing strategic account plans across Scotland and Northern Ireland
  • Building strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, NHS stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Identifying opportunities to drive sales and increase market share across the territory
  • Effectively prioritising key accounts and customers to maximise commercial opportunities
  • Developing a strong understanding of the local NHS environment and account dynamics
  • Working cross-functionally with internal commercial and medical teams
  • Taking full ownership of territory performance and delivering against agreed sales objectives

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous pharmaceutical sales or Key Account Management experience
  • Strong experience working across secondary care and/or specialist pharmaceutical markets
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts
  • Strong NHS stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness and strategic account-planning capabilities
  • The ability to independently manage a large geographical territory
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Based in Scotland and comfortable travelling regularly across Scotland and Northern Ireland

Previous experience within Ophthalmology/Eye Care would be highly advantageous, although strong candidates from other specialist pharmaceutical therapy areas will also be considered.
