About the Role
Tristram Parker Recruitment is recruiting a Key Account Manager for an established building-products business, managing and developing key customer relationships across North West England.
This opportunity would suit a commercially focused account manager or technical sales professional who understands the construction supply chain and enjoys building long-term customer partnerships.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of an established customer portfolio, developing a clear understanding of each account’s business, project pipeline and commercial priorities. Your focus will be on retaining customers, growing account value and ensuring they receive responsive support throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with internal technical and commercial teams, you will identify opportunities within existing accounts and help convert customer projects into profitable sales.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage and develop key customer accounts across North West England.
- Build strong relationships with fabricators, specialist contractors and other construction-sector customers.
- Create account-development plans that support customer retention and sales growth.
- Identify upcoming projects and opportunities to broaden product uptake within existing accounts.
- Lead commercial discussions, prepare proposals and negotiate within agreed parameters.
- Coordinate technical, estimating and project support to address customer requirements.
- Maintain regular customer contact through meetings, account reviews and site visits.
- Keep accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and project updates.
About You
- Experience in account management, area sales or technical business development within construction products.
- Ideally, knowledge of architectural aluminium, windows and doors, curtain walling, façades or related building-envelope systems.
- A track record of retaining customers and growing existing accounts.
- Confidence working with fabricators, contractors and senior commercial decision-makers.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and organisational skills.
- The ability to understand technical requirements and involve specialist support when needed.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across North West England.
