KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER – NATIONAL | DISTRIBUTOR SALES

Are you a B2B sales professional who knows how to make distributor partnerships work? My client is looking for an ambitious Key Account Manager to take ownership of some of its key UK distributor relationships, drive growth and open up new commercial opportunities.

National role – UK excluding Northern Ireland Ideally Midlands-based – with easy access to motorway and rail networks

Benefits:

  • £55-60k basic salary + £500 per month car allowance

What will you be doing?

This is a genuine account management + business development role.

70% – Key Account Management

  • Own and develop relationships with key distributor partners.
  • Build long-term commercial partnerships with purchasing, sales & marketing teams.
  • Identify accounts at risk and develop retention strategies.
  • Review performance, targets, product ranges and sales plans.
  • Drive high-margin sales through their innovative product range.
  • Become a trusted commercial partner to your customers.

30% – New Business Development

  • Identify and win new distributor partnerships and channels.
  • Work alongside distributor sales teams to target key end users.
  • Develop new opportunities across the HoReCa sector.
  • Deliver agreed growth and new business targets.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of competitor activity and market trends.

What are we looking for?

You'll need a proven track record in B2B sales and account management, ideally working through distributor/dealer networks.

Experience within commercial catering equipment, packaging, foodservice or the wider HoReCa market would be particularly relevant.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Commercially astute and financially analytical
  • A strong negotiator
  • Confident managing relationships at senior level
  • Experienced in growing existing accounts
  • Comfortable hunting for new business
  • Self-motivated, organised and tenacious
  • Able to turn data and insight into a clear sales plan
  • Someone who genuinely understands how to sell through distribution
