Sales Manager
International Exhibitions & Media (Industrial Sector)
Location: London (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days home)
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: £40k-£45k + Uncapped Commission

The Opportunity
They're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Sales Manager to join their award-winning industrial portfolio. You'll drive exhibition, sponsorship, advertising and digital revenue across a portfolio of market-leading international events and media brands.
This role suits someone with a genuine hunter mentality who enjoys opening new doors and turning prospects into long-term clients, while also managing and growing an established customer base. It's ideal for an experienced Account Manager or Key Account Manager ready for a more commercially focused role with significant earning potential. Candidates from recruitment agency backgrounds are also welcome.

What You'll Be Doing
- Identifying and engaging new exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers through outbound prospecting, networking and market research
- Building and executing strategic sales plans and maintaining a healthy pipeline
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients, maximising retention and year-on-year rebooks
- Building consultative relationships with key decision-makers and spotting upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Attending industry events, competitor shows and client meetings in the UK and internationally
- Working closely with marketing, operations and content teams to deliver successful events
- Owning your territory, pipeline and revenue performance
What You'll Bring
- 3-4+ years' experience in sales, account management/key account management, business development or recruitment agency sales
- A proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
- Strong new business skills and experience building long-term commercial relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- A self-motivated, target-driven mindset and comfort in a fast-paced, KPI-led environment
- Willingness to travel internationally

Nice to Have
- Experience selling exhibition space, sponsorship, advertising or media solutions
- Exhibitions, events, conferences or media sector experience
- International sales or complex, key account sales cycles
- Exposure to industrial processing, energy, manufacturing or related sectors
- CRM and sales reporting experience
