JOB DESCRIPTION:

About Abbott

Abbott is a global healthcare leader, creating breakthrough science to improve people’s health. We’re always looking towards the future, anticipating changes in medical science and technology.

About the Role

At Abbott, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives through breakthrough diagnostics that enable faster clinical decisions and improved patient outcomes. As healthcare systems continue to evolve, point-of-care (POC) testing is playing an increasingly critical role in transforming patient pathways across both primary and secondary care settings.

Abbott Cardiometabolic Commercial UK & I are recruiting two Key Account Managers. In this role you will drive the adoption of Abbott's innovative diagnostic solutions across your region.

This is a commercial role that combines account leadership, stakeholder engagement, business development, and market shaping.

You will work across the NHS, Public Health organisations, Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), Local Authorities, and private healthcare providers to identify opportunities, influence healthcare pathways, secure complex agreements, and deliver sustainable growth.

You will be an entrepreneurial, results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of success within healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, or related markets. You will have the ability to engage senior decision-makers, navigate complex healthcare environments, develop compelling business cases, and build long-term partnerships that create value for customers and patients alike.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery while working within one of the world's leading healthcare companies.

1 position North Region, 1 position Central Region

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and execute regional account plans aligned with Abbott's commercial objectives.
  • Identify, prioritise, and develop opportunities across primary care, secondary care, public health, and local authority settings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers across multi channels.
  • Establish Abbott as a trusted strategic partner within the healthcare ecosystem.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
