Key Account Manager

Marlow | Full Time | Permanent Position

Are you a customer-focused professional with a passion for building strong relationships, managing complex accounts, and delivering exceptional service? We're partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing business that is looking to appoint a driven Key Account Manager to act as the primary operational contact for a portfolio of high-value customers.

The Role

As a Key Account Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction, managing order fulfilment, coordinating with internal teams, and driving operational excellence. Acting as the voice of the customer, you'll work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Sales to ensure commitments are met and opportunities for growth are identified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Manage customer order books, forecasts, and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery performance.
  • Lead customer review meetings and performance discussions.
  • Monitor key account KPIs and present account performance data.
  • Support quotation activities and ensure customer requirements are accurately captured.
  • Resolve customer issues proactively and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage risks relating to product changes, supply challenges, and order fulfilment.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in Key Account Management, Customer Service, Sales Operations, or Account Coordination.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Medical Devices, Pharma etc.).
  • Able to work under pressure and spin multiple plates at a time.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
