Data Centre Key Account Manager

London/South East

£90,000 - £110,000 + Bonus + Car/Allowance + Healthcare + Pension

Clear. are working with a global leader in data centre infrastructure who are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to manage and develop relationships across their major Hyperscale and Colocation (Co-Lo) data centre customers.

This is a strategic account management position, focused on developing long-term relationships with some of the largest data centre operators and technology businesses in the market. You will take ownership of key accounts across the UK, working closely with customers to understand their infrastructure requirements and identify opportunities across new-build, expansion, fit-out and ongoing data centre projects.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop relationships with major Hyperscale and Colocation data centre accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue and market share within assigned customers.
  • Build relationships at multiple levels, from procurement and project teams through to senior technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Identify upcoming data centre developments, expansions and infrastructure projects.
  • Understand customer requirements across white space, grey space and critical infrastructure.
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical, engineering, supply chain and project teams to develop customer solutions.
  • Develop opportunities from initial engagement through to commercial negotiation and project award.
  • Act as the primary commercial interface between the customer and the wider business.
  • Monitor market developments, customer investment plans and competitor activity.
  • Develop relationships with key contractors, consultants, OEMs and other stakeholders involved in customer projects.
  • Drive cross-selling and solution-based opportunities across the wider data centre portfolio.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline information and account plans.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and data centre forums.

  • Proven experience in Data Centre sales, account management or business development.
  • Existing relationships with Hyperscale and/or Colocation operators.
  • Strong understanding of the UK Data Centre market.
  • Experience managing complex, high-value customer accounts.
  • Ability to engage with technical, commercial and procurement stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Experience developing long-term strategic account plans.
  • Comfortable working across multiple internal teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
