About Us
Advantage Finance Ltd provides motor finance Hire Purchase facilities to customers throughout the UK, allowing them to finance new and used cars, vans, motorcycles and caravans from any licensed dealer of their choice. We're one of the UK's foremost specialist motor finance providers, with a track record spanning over 25 years. From our Head Office in Grimsby, we employ around 210 people who've built that track record on the same principle: understanding the person behind the numbers, whether that's a customer or an introducer partner.
The Role
A full-time, permanent position, with a flexible mixture of working from home, time at our Head Office in Grimsby, and visiting accounts nationally on a regular basis.
The Key Account Manager will build partnerships and generate new business with introducers, proactively managing our relationships with key accounts to help the company hit its new business targets, KPIs and brand growth objectives. This is a relationship-first role — you'll be the main point of contact for your accounts, and a genuine solution provider when issues or challenges come up, not just someone who manages the paperwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Promoting Advantage Finance's services to finance brokers and dealerships
- Selecting and developing key business partners, and monitoring an agreed set of KPIs
- Working closely with introducers to help them hit agreed business commitments
- Carrying out regular on-site visits and calls to maintain strong business relationships
- Having the confidence to identify and build new introducer relationships, be that in the broker or dealer arena, from initial set-up through to site visits, Consumer Duty documentation and staff training
- Overseeing account performance, liaising with brokers, dealers and internal departments to resolve issues quickly
- Completing annual Consumer Duty compliance reviews with introducers
- Reporting clearly on any issues, and managing any conflicts of interest in the best interests of the company

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
