Ultimate Products, established in 1997 in Oldham, Greater Manchester, is a global designer, product developer, and supplier of leading homewares brands such as Salter and Beldray. Supplying to over 300 global retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, John Lewis, and others, our household products reach customers across the UK and Europe. With teams in the UK, France, and Guangzhou, we focus on designing top-quality, unique products and packaging across 12 consumer product categories. Key Account Manager (Field Sales)
Location: UK – Field Based (with office base at Manor Mill, Oldham)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 basic
OTE: £60,000 – £70,000

This is a true field sales role, with the majority of your time spent face-to-face with customers across the UK, building relationships, creating opportunities and driving profitable sales growth. You will be responsible for selling and growing some of the UK’s most recognisable household brands – including Salter, Beldray and Russell Hobbs – across a diverse customer base such as independent retailers, wholesalers, garden centres and multiple retailers.
You will own your accounts end-to-end, taking full accountability for identifying opportunities, presenting compelling propositions, negotiating commercial agreements and closing deals that deliver results. This role suits someone who thrives in the field, enjoys customer contact and is motivated by accountability, performance and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and growing a portfolio of retail customers including independent stores, wholesalers, garden centres and UK multiples
- Delivering £3m–£7m turnover per year across assigned accounts
- Selling and developing the Salter, Beldray and Russell Hobbs ranges
- Maintaining high levels of customer contact – typically 6–10 face-to-face meetings per week
- Creating, advancing and closing new business opportunities
- Negotiating commercial terms and converting opportunities into profitable orders
- Developing customer-specific plans to grow listings, distribution and market share
- Working cross-functionally with buying, supply chain and marketing teams
- Owning performance, pipeline and results with clear accountability

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- 2–5 years’ field sales experience with proven results (£1m+ turnover)
- Strong selling, negotiation and closing skills
- Results-driven mindset with high accountability
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation skills
- Resilience and energy in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
