Role Summary
Senior Key Account Manager (Strategic Accounts) responsible for:
- Managing and driving relationships with key clients
- Leading sales budget attainment and maximising opportunities for revenue growth
- Ensuring direct sales targets are achieved through existing client expansion and development
- Overseeing total Zalaris deliveries, customer satisfaction, and account development for strategic UK clients
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Commercial Accountability
- Own the customer Profit & Loss (P&L) and be commercially accountable
- Develop and execute key account management plans
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Secure and measure customer satisfaction
- Manage sales opportunities (upsell, cross-sell, renewals, new areas)

Client Delivery & Retention
- Ensure seamless and customer-centric delivery of solutions
- Bridge the gap between key clients and internal teams
- Resolve escalations, complaints, and issues to maintain trust
- Monitor and forecast customer account metrics
- Deeply understand client needs, objectives, and requirements
Strategic Initiatives
- Expand relationships by proposing customised solutions
- Drive innovation and ongoing customer improvement
- Align with client expectations in terms of goals, execution, and results
- Act as a 3rd-line escalation for service/contract issues
- Lead Tactical (Management) and internal client account meetings
Sales Support & Transitions
- Collaborate with bid-teams in new sales
- Ensure smooth contract handover between sales and operations

Your Skills & Experience
Job Title: Senior Key Account Manager – Strategic Accounts Location: United Kingdom or Ireland (Hybrid) Reports To: EVP
Account Growth & Commercial Ownership
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic UK clients
- Identify upselling, cross-selling, and service expansion opportunities
- Own account plans, sales pipelines, forecasting, and renewals
Client Leadership & Governance
- Cultivate strong relationships with senior C-level stakeholders
- Lead quarterly business reviews, service reviews, and executive discussions
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical client issues
Delivery & Performance
- Partner with delivery teams to meet service levels and targets
- Drive continuous improvement and initiatives for service optimisation
- Oversee change requests from start to delivery execution
Financial Accountability
- Own account profitability, including margins and cost efficiency
- Work closely with finance and delivery teams for sustainable growth
