YOUR ROLE
The primary accountability of this Key Account Manager position within our Global Sales team is to secure, develop, and grow defined strategic global accounts with our strategic Retail customers, in support of our ambitious volume and revenue growth objectives.
You will play a critical role in aligning account strategies with key industry verticals and the overall Group vision. This is a high-impact role in the heart of a global logistics leader, offering you the opportunity to shape the future of customer partnerships in the dynamic world of container shipping.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING | MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and budgets
- Own and grow the Key Accounts assigned
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, becoming their trusted logistics partner
- Drive client engagement through regular visits, insights, and value-driven dialogue — turning relationships into partnerships
- Lead the way in identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailor-made solutions
- Drive performance through strategic account planning, pricing influence, and data-backed decision-making
- Deliver excellence from prospecting to closure — with full accountability on volumes, revenue, and client satisfaction
- Represent CMA CGM at key industry events, contributing to our marketing and brand presence
- Continuously enhance market knowledge and share updates for ongoing growth
- Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA…)
- Update commercial data and customer feedback in CRM
- Create Leads and Review pending Leads in CRM generated from colleagues
- Work with Sales Support on customer pricing requests
- Drive onboarding and implementation of businesses together with Customer Care team
- Management of customer credit facilities
- Ensure all customer interactions are recorded in CRM
- Update Agency Trade Manager with Market intelligence / Information

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience within a B2B account development, frontline sales and/or consultative selling within shipping/logistics or complex supply chain environments.
- Strong grasp of sales cycles, data analysis and CRM reporting.
- Self-starter with strong ownership mindset — you lead, you deliver.
- Charismatic communicator with a flair for relationship-building and strategic questioning.
- Natural problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, cross-cultural environments.
- Emotionally intelligent and energized by new challenges.
- Strong negotiator and closer, committed to reaching balanced, win-win solutions.
- Comfortable presenting across diverse formats and audiences.
- Highly adaptable, with strong personal resilience to successfully navigate complexity and transformation.
- Familiar with tenders, revenue tracking, and market share strategies.
- Comfortable with systems for customer data, forecasts, and insights.
- Flexibility to travel regularly, as this is a national role with frequent travel across the UK.
