This is a great opportunity to join an established pharmaceutical company as a Key Account Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven individual for a Key Account Manager (KAM) role. As a Key Account Manager, you will lead on creating and implementing territory business plans to increase sales of the promoted products, while developing advocacy and building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders and HCPs within the NHS.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Growth & Territory Ownership
- Create, execute, and maintain a robust business plan aligned with the Company’s product strategy.
- Drive consistent territory growth, achieving agreed sales targets and increasing market share for the promoted portfolio.
- Strategically allocate and manage the promotional budget to optimize commercial outcomes.
- Identify healthcare system developments and market trends to proactively grow the Company portfolio and mitigate risks.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build and sustain high-value relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to secure optimal formulary positions.
- Leverage the expertise of internal cross-functional teams and play a leading role within the infield team to share best practices and deliver on brand objectives.
- Collaborate effectively to optimize account performance and ensure accelerated patient access to the Company products.
Compliance & Patient Safety
- Maintain 100% adherence to the ABPI Code of Practice and company SOPs, operating with the highest level of integrity.
- Ensure patient safety by accurately and promptly reporting adverse events in line with the Company. guidelines.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms confidently and compliantly to engage stakeholders.

The Person / Experience
- Experienced pharmaceutical sales representative in Primary and Secondary care.
- A network of HCP contacts and prescribing decision makers and influencers throughout the assigned territory.
- Proven track record of achievement and improved personal and business performance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong account planning and organisation skills.
- Confident, quick thinking, responsive, solution oriented with a good positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic and high levels of energy resilience, integrity and honesty.
- Computer literate.
- Team player.
- Experience of working with hospital patient protocol and service redesign projects.
- Experience of organising, running, recruiting for peer to peer educational speaker meetings.
- Hospital Formulary application experience and success.
- Experience working with local healthcare key opinion leaders and advocates.
- University degree (or equivalent) - ideally Life Sciences, Business or Marketing.
- ABPI qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
