Zalaris UK and Ireland is hiring a Key Account Manager with strong upselling and business development capabilities, who combines exceptional customer relationship management with a challenger-sales mindset to drive growth across our multinational HR and Payroll customer base.
As a Key Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic customers, supporting them throughout their partnership with Zalaris—from service transition and governance to renewals, growth, and continuous improvement. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders, helping customers maximize the value of our services while identifying opportunities to improve processes and expand the partnership.
We are looking for candidates with experience working in HR and Payroll outsourcing (BPO) organisations, particularly those with a good understanding of SAP HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Payroll solutions. This background will help you build credibility with customers and understand their business challenges.

Your Responsibilities
- Own the customer P&L and be commercially accountable
- Develop a key account management plan for each dedicated account
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Secure and measure customer satisfaction
- Sales & manage opportunity pipeline (up-sale, cross-sale, new areas, renewal)
- Ensure successful and correct delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
- Forecast and track key customer account metrics
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Drive innovation and customer improvement
- Client expectation (client alignment, execution, and measurement)
- Informed of Service and Contract Escalations and being 3. Line for resolutions
- Own and manage Tactical (management) client meetings
- Internal client account meetings to secure overall alignment for sales, operational issues, opportunities, actions, etc.
- Support bid-team in new sales
- Secure contract handover from sales to operations (lifecycle)
Your Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in a Key Account Management role within an HR & Payroll outsourcing (BPO) operating in complex, global environments.
- Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated success in upsell, renewals, and business development.
- Experience managing strategic customer relationships and working with senior stakeholders, ideally multi-country.
- Understanding of Payroll, Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, Travel & Expense, and HCM platform i.e. Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Analytical and advisory skills — able to build business cases and challenge customer thinking.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial “can-do” attitude and strong accountability for customer success.
