Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team within our Seating division. You will be based in our Engineering Center looking after JIT projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for commercial ownership of complete seat programs.
  • Negotiate series projects and contracts with customer on from Buyer to Senior Management level.
  • Liaison with internal sales and program management team to ensure alignment.
  • Interface with Costing team to ensure timely and accurate quotes.
  • Customer relationship management – OEM Buyer / Purchase Manager / Lead Engineers / Module Leaders / Piece Cost Engineers / Vendor Tooling Cost Engineers.
  • Manage negotiation and closure of commercial issues in timely manners.
  • Manage sales account with P&L responsibility, cost and pricing management and profitability ownership from project inception through to SOP.
  • Deliver program(s) with committed financial metrics.
  • Maintain internal reporting.
  • Support business case approvals.
  • Report out program commercial status to senior level.

Requirements

  • Experienced automotive tier 1 Account Manager – ideally with a background in complex, high value commodities – trimmed assemblies/interiors a plus.
  • Highly developed commercial acumen, be a motivated self-starter and willingness to take the lead and not afraid to make a decision.
  • Experience in tracking price changes, maintaining accurate records of changes including margin impacts.
  • High level communication and organisational skills.
  • English – Advanced proficiency.
  • 10% of Travel time (EMEA & US).
