Key Account Manager - Domestic Market
At Georg Fischer, we develop market-leading solutions that ensure water, gas, and other essential fluids flow safely to support cities, industries, and everyday life.
Due to continued growth ambitions within the UK residential market, GF Building Flow Solutions is strengthening its Key Account capability. We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our team at GF Building Flow Solutions (previously Uponor LTD). This is a field-based national role primarily responsible for building sales, relationship, and business opportunities through our domestic direct buying accounts (i.e., domestic distribution partners).
What Will You Be Doing?
- Develop, define, and communicate a joint strategy with the customer that fits with our overall long-term strategy – focusing on channel growth in the UK single-family homes (SFH) domestic market.
- Develop and strengthen multi-level relationships across key functions within distributor accounts and GF, including sales, commercial, marketing, operational, and leadership teams, to support long-term account growth and strategic partnership development.
- Measure and report on the sales of the customer (by brand if relevant) and implement K.P.I.s to measure the success or otherwise of the account via the CRM dashboards.
- Communicate timely updates to the business regarding increasing/decreasing share of wallet (Sales), profitability, market position, and changes within the account.
- Promote within the sales team customers of strategic importance to the business and ensure that the focus on the key account is aligned to the current turnover and future development.
- Analyze and manage strategically important customers to achieve a competitive advantage.
- Develop a robust, workable contact plan that ensures all influencers within the account are seen in line with the needs of the business and aligned to the Key Account Management contact/strategic plan.
- Work closely with the sales teams to ensure clear, cohesive, deliverable plans are implemented and delivered - aligned and balanced with the company priorities.

What Will You Need?
- Effective Key Account Management customer & sales approach – Essential requirement.
- Proven Sales/Key Account Management experience combined with technical capability within the Single family homes market (Domestic).
- Experience in systems and solution selling (USP’s, value engineering, concept development).
- Knowledge and experience of the single-family homes (domestic) construction sector (sales, markets & pricing).
- Must be a team player and results-driven.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills to be able to converse effectively with various stakeholders (i.e., meetings and presentations).
- Used to working on your own initiative and able to work with customers (internal and external) to solve problems.
- Energetic self-starter who can work unsupervised within a team environment and take responsibility for a wide range of tasks.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel and CRM systems (Salesforce).
