Job Description

Business Development Manager/Technical Sales – Tissue & Towel Chemicals

Region: North Wales; Northwest
Contract Type: Permanent
Base: Remote (with regional travel)

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager / Technical Sales professional to join our growing team, supporting and developing key customers across the tissue and towel manufacturing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with industry experience who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and delivering value-added chemical solutions.

You’ll take ownership of an established regional portfolio, working closely with production teams and technical contacts to provide expert guidance, develop new opportunities, and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key tissue and towel manufacturers across your region
  • Identify new business opportunities and support customers with tailored chemical solutions
  • Provide technical advice, troubleshooting support, and process improvement recommendations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure outstanding customer service and delivery performance
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account plans

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with commercial drive. You might already be in a technical sales or business development role within the chemical or paper industry — or perhaps you’re currently working in tissue production and looking to move into a more customer-facing, sales-oriented position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar technical sales, account management, or process support role within the tissue, towel, or paper sector
  • Strong understanding of production processes and chemical applications
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own territory and workload

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
