Key Account Manager – Global Spirits Business – North England & Scotland – up to £45,000 + package

We’re working with one of the world’s most instantly recognisable spirits businesses, who are known for building iconic brands and creating some of the most exciting experiences across the drinks industry.

We are on the lookout for a Key Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key customers across the North of England and Scotland. Areas like Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow will be a major focus.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Manager looking to take the next step in their sales career. You’ll be given responsibility for managing important customer relationships to drive distribution and visibility.

You’ll be joining a highly established business and a high working, fast-paced environment. This role is made for someone with huge amounts of desire, hunger and energy!

Core Key Account Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key customers across the North of England and Scotland.
  • Nurture and grow sales, distribution and visibility.
  • Build strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, groups and independent customers to drive sale and brand awareness.
  • Hunt for new business and opportunities for the brand.
  • Develop and implement JBPs.
  • Work closely with the wider team to deliver consistent brand delivery.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor performance and customer trends.
  • Support activations, events and brand initiatives across the territory.
  • Hit targets and KPIs whilst maintaining an organised pipeline.

Core Key Account Manager qualities:

  • 3-5 years in a Business Development Manager role in drinks FMCG.
  • An on-trade network in the territory is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commercial and target-driven mindset.
  • Confidence developing and managing commercial agreements.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to winning and developing business.
  • Energy to match the brand you are representing.
  • Willingness to travel across the territory.
  • Full, clean driver’s license is essential.
