About Berkeley Myles Group
Berkeley Myles Group builds on-premise ERP/MIS software for SME manufacturers, covering MRP, job costing, stock control, works orders, and labor tracking, with integrations into Sage, Xero, and Pegasus. We work with 700+ customers across motorsport, aerospace, defense, and electronics.
Berkeley Myles Group has recently brought Javelin into the business, bringing together two established manufacturing software providers under one roof. We are part of the Banyan Software portfolio and are investing in a cloud relaunch of the platform, landing in Q4 2026 — a genuine growth phase for the business, not a maintenance one.
The Role
This is a new role for Berkeley Myles — created to build a dedicated Account Management function from the ground up. As Key Account Manager, you’ll own and grow our entire existing customer base (700+ SME manufacturers) once integrated, focused on retention, license expansion, and module growth.
You’ll work with production, operations, finance, and IT stakeholders inside SME manufacturing businesses, helping them get more value from the system they already run, and identifying where additional modules, users, or capability can support their growth.
You report directly to the Commercial Director and will play a central role in shaping how Berkeley Myles does account management going forward. In our own GTM model, this role owns three stages end to end: Adoption, Expansion, and Advocacy & Referral. Everything before that (Awareness, Nurture, Sales, Close) sits with Marketing and the BDR team — your world starts once a customer is live.
You will:
- Own and grow the full customer base (700+ SME manufacturers) across motorsport, aerospace, defense, electronics, and beyond
- Build trusted relationships with production, operations, finance, and IT stakeholders within existing accounts
- Develop and execute account plans focused on retention, license expansion, and module growth
- Lead commercial conversations on renewals, upsell, and expansion — owning the numbers behind them
- Consistently meet or exceed the quarterly and annual retention and expansion revenue targets set for the role
- Identify growth opportunities within accounts, working with Support, Implementation, and Product to drive adoption and uncover expansion potential
- Spot accounts missing key modules — accounts link, quality, shop floor, debt collection, labor, and time; attendance — and build the case for adding them
- Understand our subscription vs. perpetual licensing options well enough to guide customers to the right commercial fit as we transition toward subscription
- Maintain disciplined CRM and forecasting hygiene in HubSpot, giving clear visibility of account health and pipeline
- Build the structure and processes for account management across a couple of products
- Support customers through the Javelin integration and the move to our new cloud platform, keeping confidence high through change
- Travel to customer sites across the UK (and occasionally further afield) to build relationships face-to-face

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
