Key Account Manager, Tesco

Northamptonshire x 3 days per week in the office

Would suit a National Account Exec / Junior NAM stepping up with full P&L responsibility

As a Key Account Manager, you’ll manage Tesco Group Formats including Booker Retail Partners, One Stop & Booker C&C to deliver commercial targets, unlock category opportunities and support the National Account Controller in shaping customer strategies. This is a high-impact role within a fast-moving, data-driven commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned formats/customers to deliver annual revenue, volume and profit targets.
  • Own and maintain accurate customer forecasts and P&L for given customers.
  • Develop and optimise promotional proposals, ensuring strong ROI and alignment to customer and internal objectives.
  • Support execution of customer strategies and joint plans aligned to category opportunities.
  • Turn category, retailer and shopper insight into customer growth opportunities.
  • Support perfect store execution and visibility initiatives across relevant channels.
  • Deliver high-quality execution of innovation launches within assigned accounts.
  • Broaden customer touchpoints to strengthen engagement and influence.

Strategic Contribution

  • Drive insight-led customer planning using category, retailer and shopper data.
  • Shape long-term customer growth opportunities through strategic planning and value creation.
  • Identify emerging risks, competitor activity and market trends.
  • Champion digital forecasting, EPOS analytics and AI-enabled insight tools.
  • Support continuous improvement and modernised commercial processes.

The role requires FMCG sales experience with full P&L responsibility to move into this role and make an impact from day 1. This is a role that can lead into further more senior opportunities so the client is seeking an ambitious nature coupled with a desire to learn and progress!
