Key Account Manager – UK & Ireland

Your Role

As Key Account Manager for the UK and Ireland, you own and grow relationships with Shelly’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts across the region. You combine hands-on sales with the operational and administrative follow-through that keeps every account moving - from commercial plans and client meetings to forecasts, orders, reporting, and internal coordination. You also represent Shelly at trade shows and partner events, turning promising conversations into long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in key account management, national account management, B2B sales, or a similar commercial role
  • Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 retailers, distributors, partners, electrical wholesalers, or other strategic customers
  • Understanding of the UK and Ireland markets and know-how to build effective relationships with buyers, commercial teams, and key decision-makers
  • Experience from consumer electronics, smart home, IoT, electrical products, DIY, retail, or distribution - this is a strong advantage
  • Understanding of account planning, pricing, margins, promotions, sales forecasting, and commercial negotiations
  • Strong sales mindset combined with excellent administrative and operational discipline
  • Comfortable presenting a commercial proposal as well as working with reports, orders, forecasts, and follow-up actions
  • Communicate clearly, negotiate confidently, and build trusted long-term relationships
  • Work confidently with CRM systems and MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive, well-organized, and able to manage several accounts and priorities without losing sight of the details
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Available to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland for client meetings, exhibitions, trade shows, and partner events

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts across the UK and Ireland
  • Act as the main point of contact for your customers and build strong relationships with buyers, commercial teams, and key decision-makers
  • Create and execute account plans that support sales targets, revenue growth, wider product distribution, and long-term partnerships
  • Identify opportunities for new product listings, upselling, cross-selling, promotional campaigns, and account expansion
  • Lead customer meetings, commercial reviews, product presentations, and negotiations
  • Negotiate pricing, promotional plans, commercial terms, and agreements in line with Shelly’s business goals
  • Prepare sales forecasts, offers, price lists, reports, presentations, CRM updates, and all related account documentation
  • Monitor sales performance, stock levels, promotions, margins, targets, and open commercial topics, and take action when something needs attention
  • Coordinate orders, product availability, deliveries, invoices, returns, claims, and customer requests with Sales Operations, Logistics, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support
  • Keep meeting notes, action points, deadlines, and customer commitments organized and follow through until every topic is closed
  • Plan and attend exhibitions, trade shows, customer events, and partner meetings, representing Shelly with energy and professionalism
  • Travel regularly across the UK and Ireland to strengthen relationships, understand customer needs, and uncover new sales opportunities
  • Track competitor activity, market developments, and customer feedback, and share practical insights with the wider Shelly team
