Position: Key Account Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ambius UK business to take up the role of Key Account Manager. With a current contract portfolio of top brands with great relationships we are keen to add many more and expand on the current deals in place.
Working within a small team you will be expected to create new relationships with large national brands and see through to closing stages, working closely with the Operations Director to drive profitable growth within a sustainable portfolio.
When new business is won, the Key Account Manager will also be responsible for the account management of a number of the key customers. This role is 80% plus new business development which includes networking and up selling.
The role is field based with extensive UK travel to visit existing & potential customers; there will be occasional requirements to stay away from home overnight of at least 1 to 2 nights per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth within your portfolio
- Collaborate with operational teams to align service delivery with customer expectations
- Manage customer accounts, overseeing performance, invoice dispute and debt management
- Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of competitors and identify trends
- Report on account performance and forecast sales effectively
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues promptly

Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in account management or sales, preferably in a B2B environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, internal and external
- Analytical skills, with a keen understanding of market trends and customer needs
- Proficient in Google Suite.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a willingness to travel as needed
