Key Account Materials Coordinator

STS Engine Services is hiring a Key Account Materials Coordinator in Stansted, Essex, United Kingdom. This hybrid position offers a basic salary of £33,000 to £35,000 per year and supports inventory assurance, materials administration, and customer-owned aircraft engine parts across global locations.

The role is ideal for an organised materials professional who can maintain accurate inventory records, investigate stock discrepancies, and coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Position Overview

The Key Account Materials Coordinator supports the Key Accounts Materials Manager in improving inventory accuracy and strengthening the materials contract.

This position monitors customer-owned materials across multiple locations, maintains inventory records in real time, and investigates stock discrepancies. The coordinator also supports purchase order processing, parts repair and disposal activities, warranty claims, and project engineers during engine inductions and project closures.

Inventory Control Responsibilities

  • Receive and review reports from the network of housekeepers
  • Validate reported stock against customer inventory databases
  • Review completed work packs to ensure all part movements have been properly recorded
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Ensure issued, consumed, and removed parts are recorded accurately
  • Update stock positions within the system in real time
  • Identify and resolve inventory gaps before project closure
  • Maintain accurate customer inventories of aircraft engine parts
  • Identify parts suitable for repair
  • Coordinate the disposal of scrapped parts
  • Process warranty claims when required
  • Maintain a complete inventory audit trail

Compliance and Documentation Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with applicable aviation regulations and standards
  • Keep procurement and materials documentation accurate and current
  • Support inventory traceability and system integrity
  • Maintain complete records for customer-owned materials

Purchase Order Responsibilities

  • Generate and process purchase orders accurately and on time
  • Confirm specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor orders through completion
  • Close purchase orders once all requirements have been fulfilled

Communication and Collaboration Responsibilities

  • Work with Maintenance, Logistics, and Finance to support consistent materials processes
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve order and repair issues
  • Support timely order and repair fulfilment
  • Maintain close communication with key stakeholders
  • Ensure customer requirements and STS operational needs are supported
  • Participate in online meetings when required
  • Answer telephone calls professionally

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory and materials processes
  • Monitor parts usage trends
  • Share usage information with the Materials Manager
  • Support updates to stock levels for frequently required parts
  • Help improve inventory accuracy and system integrity

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide holiday cover for the Key Accounts Materials Manager
  • Support procurement of Aircraft on Ground parts
  • Help coordinate shipments
  • Provide updates to housekeepers and project engineers
  • Support project engineers at the beginning and end of engine inductions and projects
  • Travel overseas for meetings or training when required
