Sales Professional Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth within the components and fabrics sector. You will play a pivotal role in representing Benthin and Hunter Douglas across the UK market, supporting independent manufacturing companies with innovative components, textiles, machinery and systems for lighting, privacy and sun protection solutions.

As a key member of the business, you will combine strategic account management with hands-on leadership, ensuring exceptional customer service while inspiring and supporting the local team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth across the UK through effective key account management and business development activities.
  • Distribute and promote our range of components, textiles, machines and systems for lighting, privacy and sun protection applications.
  • Present, launch and support new products and product lines with customers.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare cost estimates, quotations and commercial proposals.
  • Lead customer negotiations and secure successful business outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing customer support and after-sales service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop the local Northampton office and team.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand our presence within the UK.
  • Act as an ambassador for Benthin and the Hunter Douglas Group throughout the UK market.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and sales administration using Microsoft Office and company systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Several years' experience in sales, field sales, business development or key account management.
  • A natural communicator with a commercial mindset and strong customer focus.
  • Proven ability to build and grow lasting customer relationships.
  • A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Positive, enthusiastic and curious approach with a genuine passion for sales.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Business-fluent English language skills.
