Key Accounts Specialist

Location: On-site/Hybrid

Salary: From £50k DOE

About the Role

Paneltex is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of temperature-controlled commercial vehicle bodies, van conversions and cold storage solutions. From urban delivery vans to refrigerated double-deck trailers, we design and manufacture innovative products that keep businesses moving.

Operating from five specialist manufacturing sites across the UK, we serve customers throughout the UK, Europe and North America, delivering bespoke solutions backed by exceptional quality and customer service. With an annual turnover of £60 million and a team of over 500 colleagues, Paneltex is proud to be part of The Reefer Group (TRG), Europe's leading temperature-controlled bodywork manufacturer.

We're looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Key Accounts Specialist to join our commercial team and help drive our continued growth.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced account manager or business development professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships while identifying new commercial opportunities.

You'll manage a portfolio of key customer accounts, developing strong partnerships and ensuring customers receive outstanding service from initial enquiry through to delivery and aftercare. Alongside nurturing existing relationships, you'll identify opportunities to grow business through new customers and cross-selling across our extensive range of products and services.

Working closely with colleagues across engineering, production, quality and aftersales, you'll help deliver tailored solutions that meet customers' operational needs while supporting Paneltex's commercial objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing business and secure new customers.
  • Promoting the full range of Paneltex products and services.
  • Preparing quotations, proposals and commercial agreements.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver high-quality customer solutions.
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales journey.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
  • Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and producing reliable sales forecasts.
  • Achieving agreed sales, revenue and margin targets.
  • Acting as a professional ambassador for the Paneltex brand.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines commercial awareness with excellent relationship-building skills and enjoys working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in account management, business development or B2B sales.
  • A proven ability to develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities and delivering results.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence using business systems to manage customer activity and forecasts.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.

Experience within commercial vehicles, manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous but is not essential.
