Owen Daniels are partnered with a leading global manufacturer of cutting tools and machining solutions who are looking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager to support growth across their customer base in Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded engineer/ sales professional with experience in CNC machining, tooling, or metal cutting solutions to join a market-leading organisation with a strong reputation.
About the Role
As Key Account Specialist you will be responsible for managing and developing strategic customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities across your territory. Working closely with engineering, customer service and production teams, you will deliver technical solutions that help customers improve productivity, quality and operational performance.

This is a highly autonomous position where you'll play a key role in driving revenue growth, increasing market share and strengthening long-term customer partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships within existing key accounts.
- Identify, engage and win new customers across the territory.
- Expand product utilisation and increase market penetration within established customers.
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to quotation and order placement.
- Conduct regular customer visits and provide ongoing technical and after-sales support.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve profitable business growth.
- Understand customer manufacturing challenges and propose technical solutions.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunity and forecasting data through CRM systems.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging market opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with internal engineering, service and customer support teams.
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions and customer events.

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5+ years' experience in a technical sales or account management position.
- A background in machining, metal cutting, tooling or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience with CNC machining applications including turning, milling and drilling.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- A consultative sales approach with the ability to identify customer needs and deliver value-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience managing complex customer stakeholders and projects.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to business development.
