Summary

Key Stage One (KS1) at Surbiton High Boys’ Preparatory

  • Tenure: Maternity Cover, Full-time
  • Start Date: January 2027
  • Salary: Competitive salary (Surbiton High School Pay Scale)

At Surbiton High Boys’ Preparatory School we have an excellent record of academic achievement which is achieved through a thorough, exemplary curriculum from Reception through to Year 6. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that bring learning to life and inspire a love of learning in every pupil.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Play an active role in school life, building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues and contributing to co-curricular opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and a commitment to delivering academic excellence for all learners.
  • The ability to plan creative, inclusive and well-structured learning experiences that meet the needs of individual pupils.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills, combined with a collaborative and professional approach.

Who We’re Looking For

We're looking for a warm, enthusiastic and creative teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 1 education. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly welcomed and will be well supported within our collaborative and experienced staff team. You will share the School’s values and actively promote our ethos of ‘May Love Always Lead Us’ and ‘The Best in Everyone’.
