Key Warehouse Operative

As a Key Warehouse Operative in the Ambient department, you will work in a fast‑paced food warehouse handling a wide range of grocery products. Your focus will be on maintaining speed without compromising quality, adhering to health and safety standards, and supporting the team to meet daily dispatch targets for WM Morrison Supermarkets.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack food items accurately and at a high speed.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles using pallet trucks and forklifts.
  • Inspect products for quality and report any defects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with hygiene standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and food safety procedures at all times.
  • Operate warehouse management system to record stock movements.
  • Assist with stock replenishment and cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily dispatch targets.
  • Report any equipment issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Previous experience in a food or ambient warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work day shifts (Monday‑Friday) consistently.
  • Good physical fitness – able to lift 25 kg regularly.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment (pallet truck, forklift).
  • Commitment to working quickly while maintaining product quality.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Team‑oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
