Role Description

The Keyholder is a 20 hour position, on-site role based in Rushden, responsible for supporting daily store operations and acting as a point of contact in the absence of store management. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Opening and closing the store
  • Securing premises
  • Handling cash procedures
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and standards

The Keyholder collaborates closely with the store team to meet sales targets, enhance the customer experience, and uphold the brand’s reputation.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Experience, with a focus on building rapport and resolving inquiries effectively.
  • Solid Retail Sales experience and Product Knowledge, particularly in footwear or fashion, to confidently advise customers and support sales goals.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and management, both in person and in writing.
  • Previous experience in a keyholder, supervisory, or similar retail role, including responsibility for opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple tasks, and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Proactive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining store standards and following security procedures.
  • Basic numeracy and comfort using point-of-sale systems; prior experience in a branded retail environment is an advantage.
