Eleven D's Ltd provides supported accommodation for looked-after children and young people aged 16 to 25 who are entitled to leaving care services from the local authority. The organisation offers a caring home environment with structure, stability, and tailored support packages to meet each young person’s individual needs. The homes focus on helping young people develop problem-solving abilities, learn from mistakes, and build life and social skills. The ultimate aim is to support a successful transition into adulthood and independent living within the community.
Role Description
The Key/Support Worker role is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Key/Support Worker will provide day-to-day support to young people in supported accommodation, helping them develop routines, life skills, and social skills in line with their individual care plans.

- Building trusting relationships
- Offering emotional support

- Assisting with education, training, and community engagement
- Safeguarding, monitoring wellbeing, maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with social workers, local authorities, and other professionals
- Contributing to household tasks
- Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Participating in team meetings, handovers, and ongoing training
Qualifications
- Level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare or the desire and commitment to work towards.
- Experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar care/support role with young people.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people and colleagues.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a clear understanding of professional boundaries and child protection responsibilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting, record-keeping, and liaison with external professionals.
- Ability to provide practical and emotional support, including basic technical support related to everyday living (e.g., using online services, accessing resources).
- Relevant qualification in social care, youth work, or a related field (or working towards one) is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of the needs of looked-after children and care leavers, including trauma-informed approaches.
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, and to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.
- Basic IT skills for using care systems and completing electronic records; a valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
