Craft: Data, Analytics & Strategy
Job Description:
Join King’s AI/ML & Data Science Talent Pool!
At King, we’re always interested in connecting with talented people across AI, Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics who are passionate about using data and technology to create better experiences for millions of players.
Whether you’re an Associate, Mid-level, Senior, Principal or Lead Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer, Research Engineer or Product Analyst, we’d love to hear from you. By joining our Talent Pool, you’ll be considered for future opportunities across our game teams and central AI/ML and Data Science teams. If your background aligns with a role, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will get in touch to discuss it with you.
What we’re typically looking for
Our teams work across areas including applied AI research, player behaviour modelling, personalisation, recommendations, experimentation, decision automation, game and product analytics, content optimisation, forecasting and production ML systems.
While every role requires a different combination of skills, we often look for people with experience in:
- Applying data science, machine learning, statistics or analytics to solve player, product or business challenges.
- Developing models, experiments, analyses or data products that improve player experience, personalisation, content, decision-making or business performance.
- Taking work from exploration and prototyping through to implementation, production or measurable product impact.
- Building or working with reliable data and ML pipelines, evaluation approaches and scalable systems.
- Bringing expertise in one or more areas such as machine learning, experimentation, causal inference, statistical modelling, optimisation, deep learning, reinforcement learning, generative AI or data visualisation.
- Using relevant tools and technologies for your field. Depending on the role, these might include Python, SQL, Spark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, cloud platforms, dashboards, experimentation platforms or ML pipelines. We don’t expect candidates to have experience with all of these.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Product, Game Design, UX and other disciplines to turn opportunities into practical, player-focused solutions.
- Communicating complex ideas clearly through analysis, documentation, model evaluations, prototypes, dashboards or presentations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
