Role Description

The Kitchen and Bathroom Designer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Strathaven, with the flexibility to perform some duties from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with clients to understand their needs
  • Developing kitchen and bathroom layouts
  • Producing detailed design plans and specifications
  • Selecting cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with project budgets and style preferences
  • Preparing presentations and quotations
  • Collaborating with the showroom team, suppliers, and installation professionals to ensure accurate ordering and smooth project delivery
  • Maintaining project documentation
  • Providing clear design guidance
  • Supporting sales activities through professional client interactions

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Kitchen & Bath Design, including space planning and layout development
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting design concepts and coordinating with stakeholders
  • Experience in Sales, including preparing quotations, explaining options, and guiding clients through the decision-making process
  • Knowledge of Cabinetry, including product options, construction details, and integration with overall design schemes
  • Competence with design software (e.g., CAD or similar tools) and basic project documentation practices
  • Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant education or training in interior design, kitchen and bath design, or a closely related field is advantageous
  • Experience in residential interior projects and familiarity with installation processes and building standards is beneficial
