Hive Property Group is a holding company that manages a range of property-focused businesses, including Hive Premier Bathrooms and Hive Landlord Services. Hive Premier Bathrooms provides design, supply, and installation services, supported by multi-trade teams for high-quality bathroom and kitchen projects. Hive Landlord Services focuses on delivering long-term, sustainable returns by maximizing the value and productivity of landlord portfolios. Across the group, teams manage projects from initial design and planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards. Typical projects include new builds, extensions, bathrooms, kitchens, and general repairs and maintenance.

Role Description

The Kitchen and Bathroom Technician role at The Hive Property Group is a part-time, hybrid position based in Harrogate, with some work-from-home flexibility for planning, documentation, and coordination tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Installing and fitting kitchens and bathrooms
  • Carrying out plumbing and basic electrical work
  • Completing tiling, carpentry, and finishing tasks to a professional standard

The technician will:

  • Conduct site visits
  • Measure spaces
  • Interpret drawings and plans
  • Liaise with supervisors, designers, and clients to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery

Additional duties include:

  • Maintaining tools and materials
  • Adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assisting with general repairs and maintenance as required

Qualifications

  • Practical skills in kitchen and bathroom fitting, including plumbing, basic electrical work, tiling, and carpentry
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and measurements for residential projects
  • Experience with general property repairs and maintenance, ideally in new builds, extensions, or refurbishment work
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to high-quality workmanship, and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent in plumbing, carpentry, or multi-trade construction) are beneficial
  • Full UK driving license and access to transport are an advantage for travel to project sites in and around Harrogate
