Kitchen Assistant - Required for The Grange Care Home in Newport near Saffron Walden
Part of the Country Court Family
Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Working weekends on rota (Shift times 07:00- 17:30)
About The Grange Care Home
The Grange Care Home offers family-led residential and specialist dementia care for up to 40 residents. Situated in the Debden Grange Retirement Village, our care home is close to Saffron Walden and just a short drive from Cambridge. Led by the manager, our fantastic team offer highly compassionate, personalised care, that is tailored to the needs of each individual.
About The Kitchen Assistant Role
Within the Kitchen Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Help our chefs prepare & deliver stunning food for our residents.
- Make sure that the food is correctly labelled & meets the specific dietary requirements for our Residents.
- Wastage from the preparation is kept to a minimum.
- Follow COSHH & Health & Safety Standards

About You
We want someone proactive, passionate, and ambitious to support us to create the best person-centred environment for our residents. You’ll be genuinely valued and empowered as an integral part of our team
- Experience as a Kitchen Assistant or a similar role
- Good knowledge & experience with food safety
- Friendly & approachable and work well in a team
- Knowledge of COSHH & Health & Safety standards
- An understanding of the care sector would be advantageous
