Kitchen Assistant The Partridge Inn, Singleton

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the team at The Partridge Inn in Singleton. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get started in a professional kitchen, gain experience and develop their skills. No previous kitchen experience is essential — we are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and the drive to progress.

What you'll be doing

  • Washing and putting away dirty dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
  • Keeping the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean, tidy and organised
  • Helping the kitchen team with general preparation and day-to-day tasks
  • Supporting chefs during busy service periods and being an extra pair of hands when needed
  • As you gain confidence and experience, learning to prepare and produce starters and desserts
  • Following food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen procedures
  • Helping to maintain a clean, efficient and positive working environment

Previous kitchen experience is a bonus, but not essential. Full training will be provided where needed. What matters most to us is your attitude and willingness to learn.

The opportunity

This role is designed to give the right person the chance to progress within the kitchen. You'll start by supporting the team with washing up, cleaning and general kitchen duties, but as your skills and confidence develop, you'll be trained to take on more responsibility, including preparing starters, desserts and assisting with other areas of the kitchen.
