About the Role

We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the opening team at Yarrow, our brand new restaurant in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.

Yarrow is a fresh dining destination, open to both the public and our retirement village residents, serving high-quality, seasonal food in a welcoming environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand new kitchen, working alongside an experienced team and helping to create an exceptional dining experience from day one.

Unlike many hospitality roles, Yarrow offers a better work-life balance, with more sociable opening hours while still being part of a busy, fresh food kitchen.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Keeping the kitchen, equipment and utensils clean, organised and ready for service
  • Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation, including preparing ingredients and simple dishes
  • Receiving, checking and storing deliveries safely
  • Operating dishwashing equipment and ensuring crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils are cleaned to a high standard
  • Supporting the kitchen team with stock rotation, waste management and maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
  • Following all health and safety and food safety procedures
  • Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
