Role Description
The Kitchen Assistant role is a part-time, on-site position based at Gulliver's World Theme Park Resort in Warrington. The Kitchen Assistant supports the smooth operation by assisting with basic food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and food service areas, and ensuring hygiene standards are followed at all times. The role also involves working with the food and beverage team to support serving periods, cooperating with chefs and supervisors, and occasionally interacting with guests in a polite and helpful manner. Flexibility to work weekends, school holidays, and peak season shifts is essential.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks and support cooking activities (Food Preparation, Cooking).
- Strong awareness of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices, including cleanliness and safe handling of equipment (Hygiene).
- Understanding of food and beverage operations, including stock rotation and simple service procedures (Food & Beverage).
- Capability to provide courteous, efficient customer service in a busy theme park environment (Customer Service).
- Good time management, reliability, and ability to work well in a team under pressure.
- Willingness to follow instructions, adhere to health and safety regulations, and complete required training.
- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or catering environment is beneficial but not essential.
