Champneys Henlow

Contract: Full Time

Salary: up to £12.71 per hour plus tips

At Champneys, we have been helping people feel happier, healthier and more relaxed since 1925. As we celebrate over 100 years of wellbeing, we're looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our talented culinary team and play an important part in delivering exceptional experiences to our guests and colleagues.

This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days are the same. You'll support our chefs with food preparation, maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation, help keep our kitchens operating efficiently and assist in providing meals within our staff dining facilities. Your contribution will be essential to the smooth running of our kitchen operations and the experience we deliver every day.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll support the wider kitchen team by:

  • Assisting with the preparation and presentation of food within our staff dining facilities.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout all kitchen, storage and back-of-house areas.
  • Washing and preparing kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and cutlery for service.
  • Supporting chefs and the wider kitchen team with day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Receiving, storing and rotating deliveries in line with food safety procedures.
  • Following cleaning schedules and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring all working areas remain safe, organised and compliant with food hygiene requirements.
  • Assisting with stock takes and inventory control when required.
  • Supporting the kitchen team during events, functions and peak trading periods.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues across the resort to ensure seamless operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
