Role Details
Role: NPD Kitchen Assistant
Salary: £27,810 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
Contract: Permanent
Inspired Global Cuisine is a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Chadderton, Oldham, Manchester. We are an ambitious company that has grown significantly over the last two years, now producing over 1 million meals a week, with plans to continue growing - including a recent relocation to a brand new 369,000 sq ft site, where we're investing in new systems and expanding our operations this year.

The Role
We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our Product Development team, supporting our Development Chefs in turning great ideas into commercially viable products.

You'll keep our development kitchen clean, organised and well stocked, so the chefs can focus on creating. You'll also build strong working relationships across the business and play an active part in our development schedule.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing ingredients and supporting the Development Chefs day to day
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in the development kitchen
- Making sure the chefs have all the resources they need to do their jobs
- Working with the production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are stored correctly and are easy for the chefs to access
- Presenting products professionally at regular internal taste panels
- Keeping up to date with food trends, new concepts and packaging
- Handling confidential company information with care and discretion
- Following all health and safety policies and procedures on site
- Supporting the wider NPD team with other reasonable duties as required
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build open, cooperative relationships
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A team player who is also comfortable working autonomously
- Professional and trustworthy, with a strong sense of confidentiality
- Approachable, flexible and methodical, with a keen eye for detail
- Determined, enthusiastic and positive, with a genuine interest in food and product development

Desirable
- Catering College qualification or NVQ
- Food manufacturing knowledge
- Restaurant experience
