Company Description

South West Larder: Togetherness, Nurture, Pride, Planet

Full Time: 39 hours a week

Salary: £14.57 per hour

Location: North Petherton

Interviews:

Interviews will be held the week commencing 28th September 2026

Working Hours:

Working hours are 5 out of 7 days per week, with 2 in 3 Sundays worked, and 42-week rota of 2 early weeks (5.30 to 2 pm) and 2 late weeks (9.30 to 6 pm). Sunday and Friday are always early shift. Currently no Saturday working.

Job Description

To produce food within our cold rooms, kitchens, bakery and salad room to the required standards and through following our agreed procedures.

  • The role includes following product specifications and recipes.
  • To work safely with allergens and sharp tools, to prepare, produce, package and dispatch our salads, cakes and ready-to-eat products to the required quantity to each Unit.
  • To work hygienically and to undertake personal clean downs of work areas, working safely to ensure high standards.
  • To support Chef colleagues within the CPK and at our burger van.

Qualifications

We are keen to hear from committed and positive candidates who wish to work with likeminded colleagues to produce high quality food items. Candidates ideally will have some food related experience and be willing to achieve a Food Safety level 2 qualification.

Pre-Employment Screening

Successful applicants will be required to provide a three-year employment history and five-year address history to work on Hinkley Point C.

They must be able to provide in date photographic ID and their right to work in the UK so that security clearance can be obtained as these roles are based on a nuclear regulated site.
