Job Title: Kitchen Assistant/ Commis Chef
Location: Boundary Outlet - Colne
Hours: 35 hours a week working 5 days out of 7

Boundary Outlet is a leading retail destination with a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences in our in-store café and restaurant. Behind the scenes, our kitchen team works hard to deliver delicious food to our customers, and we’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join the team.
Role Overview:
As a Kitchen Assistant/ Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality food while ensuring a clean and organised work environment. Your role will be key to helping us deliver a fantastic dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring all equipment, work surfaces, and utensils are clean and sanitised.
- Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, and cookware efficiently.
- Support chefs and other team members during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including food hygiene regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A hardworking and reliable individual with a team-oriented approach.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good time management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
