Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
Shift times: Early shift 0600 to 1400; Late shift 1015 to 1845
Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join our team working at Normandy Barracks.
You will be responsible for:
- Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
- Organising stock
- Maintaining the dishwasher
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Serving on the hotplate
To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements:
- You must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years
- You must have legal right to work in the UK
- You must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks

What you'll do:
- Basic food preparation of items including cold food
- Following H&S procedures
- Stock rotation and managing deliveries
- Cleaning the kitchen
- Assisting with pot wash
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
What we're looking for:
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must have the eligibility to work in the UK and have resided for longer than 3 years
- Security checks are required for this role, and DBS are needed
