A freshly prepared meal and a welcoming dining experience can make a real difference to someone's day. As a Kitchen Assistant at St Johns Nursing Home, you'll play an important part in helping residents enjoy their meals and feel at home.

We're looking for a reliable and caring Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly.
Your role
- Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Contracted hours: 29 hours per week
- Location: St Johns Street, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 8QT
Working alongside the cook and care team, you will help prepare and serve food while maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen. You will:

- Help with food preparation and the presentation of meals, snacks and drinks.
- Support meal service, following guidance on residents' individual dietary needs and allergens.
- Wash up and clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
- Help put away deliveries and rotate stock safely.
- Follow food hygiene, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
Your attention to detail and willingness to help will support a mealtime experience that residents can look forward to.
What You'll Bring
- Previous kitchen experience is welcome, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. We'll support you with training to help you carry out your duties confidently.
- A caring, friendly and respectful approach.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability, organisation and attention to cleanliness.
- The ability to follow instructions and work calmly during busy meal services.
- A commitment to food hygiene and residents' wellbeing.
