About us
The Duke’s Head Pub & Hotel is an iconic local proudly overlooking Wallington Green since 1830, with direct links to Croydon and Carshalton. With stylish decor in the elegant restaurant and a lively outside terrace, The Duke’s Head is the best place to enjoy drinks with friends, or a mouth-watering Sunday roast with the family.
Ideally located on the border of South London and Surrey, meaning you’ll be just 30 minutes from Central London, Gatwick Airport, and the beautiful Surrey countryside. Boasting 23 beautiful bedrooms and on-site parking, we’re the perfect base for your next business trip, or even a weekend getaway where you can explore neighbouring Epsom Downs and Box Hill.
Be in the heart of the action at The Duke’s Head! We’ll be showing the Premier League football live on BT Sport and Sky Sports across our 8 TV screens, including in our cosy outside huts. Plus, we’ll be screening the Six Nations from 4th February. Be sure to book the best seats in the house, right in front of a screen.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
