About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Intern to join our culinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience within a professional kitchen environment and develop a strong foundation in food preparation, kitchen operations, and hospitality.

Working alongside experienced chefs, including the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef, you will support the preparation and service of high-quality dishes while learning essential culinary skills. The role offers structured on-the-job training, exposure to various kitchen sections, and the opportunity to develop a successful career within hospitality.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist chefs with the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and basic food preparation tasks.
  • Learn and apply culinary techniques under the guidance of experienced kitchen professionals.
  • Support the kitchen team during food service to ensure dishes are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Help maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ensure kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic.
  • Follow food safety, health, and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Assist with stock rotation, inventory management, and the receipt of deliveries.
  • Learn about different kitchen sections and support operations where required.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade to provide an outstanding guest experience.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, develop new skills, and contribute positively to the team.

What You'll Bring:

  • A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and learning about the culinary profession.
  • Currently studying or recently completed a culinary, hospitality, or catering-related programme is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to develop practical kitchen skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take direction from senior team members.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A desire to build a long-term career within the hospitality industry.
