Description

The Kitchen Lead is responsible for driving culinary excellence within The Residency, ensuring every dish meets the exceptional standards expected of a Michelin-inspired dining experience.

Working alongside the Chef Manager, you'll lead the kitchen during service, support the development of the brigade and maintain absolute consistency across every plate.

Whilst your primary focus is kitchen leadership, The Residency operates without traditional boundaries between kitchen and front of house. Every chef plays an active role in the guest experience, presenting dishes, sharing the story behind the menu and creating memorable moments throughout service.

This is an opportunity to be part of a unique concept where exceptional cooking and genuine hospitality come together.

Day To Day Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership

  • Lead the brigade during preparation and service, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained at all times.
  • Support the Chef Manager in organising daily operations and service delivery.
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior chefs, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Lead by example, promoting a collaborative, professional and high-performing kitchen culture.

Culinary Excellence

  • Prepare and deliver dishes to Michelin-inspired standards with exceptional consistency and precision.
  • Ensure every plate meets agreed presentation, quality and flavour standards.
  • Support menu development, tastings and seasonal menu changes.
  • Monitor quality throughout service and respond quickly to any issues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
