Reports to: Head Chef / Culinary Director

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised Kitchen Manager to support the Head Chef in the effective running of the kitchen, with a particular focus on health & safety, compliance, administration and organisation. You will combine strong organisational skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness, ensuring the kitchen operates safely, efficiently and in line with all company standards and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for day-to-day kitchen administration, organisation and compliance.
  • Assist Head Chef with day-to-day rotas and staffing.
  • Maintain and oversee all kitchen health & safety procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure HACCP systems, food safety records and temperature controls are completed accurately and consistently.
  • Manage allergen information, food labelling and traceability across the kitchen.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules, COSHH records and kitchen checks are maintained and up to date.
  • Coordinate kitchen audits, inspections and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records for equipment servicing, maintenance and compliance.
  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen systems, processes and standards.
  • Manage kitchen stock administration, deliveries, storage and stock rotation.
  • Monitor wastage, stock usage and ordering to support agreed food-cost targets.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment, ingredients and resources are organised and available as required.
  • Maintain accurate staff records, training records and kitchen documentation.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new kitchen staff on company procedures and food safety.
  • Work closely with Operations, Events, Finance, HR and suppliers.
  • Assist with event planning, ensuring the kitchen has the required resources, equipment and documentation for each event.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement practical systems to improve efficiency, organisation and compliance.
  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the company's kitchen standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
