IKEA Exeter Kitchen Sales Specialist
IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome Kitchen Planner to join our hardworking Sales team.
Do you have a knack for making customers feel like they've just stepped into their dream home? If so, we want you on our team! As a Kitchen Sales Specialist (What we call our Kitchen Planners in IKEA), you'll be the hero our customers didn't know they needed, guiding them through the maze of kitchen wonders and helping them to plan and design their dream kitchen.
What We Offer
- The Start Date of employment will be discussed at interview.
- The starting salary for this role is £27,540.78 per annum, based on competence and experience.
- 39 Hours working 5 days per week including a variety of shifts, covering days, evenings and alternate weekends. Availability required until 9.30pm 2 evening per week.

What You'll Need to Have
- Experience in kitchen planning is an advantage, but what matters most is your ability to form connections with customers, drawing on your sales, retail, or customer service experience. You'll bring a keen interest in their home life to provide truly personalised solutions.
- Experience of working in a customer and commercial-oriented business, with an interest in people’s everyday life at home within their kitchen.
- Confidence in taking initiative, adjusting to new circumstances, finding solutions to complex issues, and engaging customers clearly.
- You are open to learning and working with a variety of computer programmes including Microsoft Office suite and Planning Tools.
- Engaging communicator with a friendly, approachable personality and a solid background in customer-facing retail roles.
What You’ll Be Doing on the Day to Day
- You actively engage with our customers to identify their needs and how to inspire and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.
- Engage with customers to guide their journey from planning through purchase.
- Support increasing sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.
- Kitchen Planning & Designing for up to 2 hours, to provide accurate plans, worktop and installation quotations for the customer.
- Support the customers needs from planning, selling and aftersales, securing payments both in store and remotely.
